The course player

Lessons, progress tracking, verified video watching, and locked modules.

The player: lesson content left, modules and progress right.

Lessons come in four types

  • Video — plays right in the page; your position is remembered.
  • Audio — same player, sound only.
  • Document — press Open document (PDF) to view it in a new tab.
  • Text — reads like an article, with images, links and buttons the instructor added.

The sidebar lists every module and lesson with your completion state, plus the course-wide progress meter (“4/12 lessons”).

Completing lessons

Press Mark complete & continue at the end of a lesson to check it off and move on. Video lessons also complete themselves when you watch to the end. Progress saves automatically — leave anytime and resume from My Learning.

“Watch verified” — why it matters

For hosted videos, real watch time is verified on the server — a green ✓ watch verified badge appears once your viewing is confirmed. It’s part of what makes the certificate at the end trustworthy: credentials are only issued after server-verified completion, not a clicked checkbox.

Locked modules

Some courses unlock modules in order: a locked module shows “Pass the Module N check to unlock” (or “Complete Module N to unlock”). Finish the previous module’s lessons and pass its check — the next module opens instantly, right in the player. The final quiz card in the sidebar similarly unlocks once you reach the course’s required progress. More in Taking quizzes.

Leaving a review

Enrolled learners can rate the course (1–5 stars, with an optional comment) from the Rate this course panel in the player sidebar — and edit that review later. Reviews appear on the course’s public page.
